Nominations are open for the National Health and Care Information Governance Annual Awards 2022

Do you know someone who works their socks off in health or care Information Governance and Data Protection? Or an organisation that’s done something brilliant and innovative in the field? If so, you can help them get recognition for all that hard work.

On Tuesday 3 May the National Health and Care Strategic Information Governance Network opens nominations for its fourth Annual Information Governance Awards.

The categories are:

  • Healthcare Information Governance Professional of the Year
  • Social Care Information Governance Professional of the Year
  • Information Sharing Champion of the Year
  • Information Governance Innovator of the Year
  • Information Governance Team of the Year
  • Information Governance Human Encyclopædia
  • Outstanding Contribution to Information Governance

Nominations can be made using the form to the side of this article. The form explains the rules, as well as having a privacy notice to explain how the information of nominees and nominators will be used.

Nominations close at 5pm on 29 July, with judging taking place in August, and (we hope!) an in-person Awards Ceremony in September.

The judging process is, wherever possible, nominee blind, including name, gender and, where possible, organisations. Judging is undertaken by a sub-committee of the National SIGN, made up of experience Information Governance Professionals.

Please direct any queries to uhsussex.informationgovernanceawards@nhs.net.

Very best of luck to all who are nominated.

Andrew Harvey

Chair, National Health and Care Strategic Information Governance Network
